Diagnostic Guidewires

Diagnostic Wire – PTFE Coated – 150cm

General Description

Diagnostic guide wires are used to facilitate the placement of devices during diagnostic and interventional procedures.

A flexible wire shall be free from airborne particles and surface defects.

Have a distal tip either J-tip or flexible straight tip to minimize trauma during insertion into the blood vessels.

Shall be from any fracture of flexing, free from any tip separation and free from coat flaking.

Product complying with the requirements of ISO 11070:2014

Product has a polypropylene protector and channel clips used to fix the protector during its coiling process to maintain the ring shape of the protector.

Thumb advancer used to facilitate the passage of the guide wire through other devices from its J-tip.

Intended Use

Intended to facilitate the placement of instruments during diagnostic or interventional procedures and general uses.

Please note that this device shall only be used by a well-trained and qualified healthcare person or under supervision of a physician in hospital or clinical settings.

Product Features

  • Engineered with a tapered core that allows for tip flexibility and smooth passage through tortuous anatomy
  • Pre coated design ensure uniform coating and reduced friction
  • Easy, low friction advancement
  • Kink-resistant wire
  • Hydrophobic coating ensures smooth guide wire traceability, improved introduction into target lesions, as well as reduced device friction
  • Provides lubricity to facilitate access through very tortuous anatomy and highly challenging lesions
  • Smooth surface; less friction, increased tracking, and consistent performance
  • Reduction of blood clot formation and adherence
  • Resists flaking of PTFE coating
  • Increased lubricity and durability
  • Better catheter compatibility
  • Consistent performance after multiple catheter exchanges
  • Less force required for wire passage through catheters; aiding in wire stability and positioning
