Short Term Dialysis Catheter Double Lumen

General Description

It may be inserted percutaneously and is primarily placed in the internal jugular vein of an adult patient.

  • Alternative insertion sites include subclavian vein or femoral vein as required.
  • The curved catheter is intended for internal jugular vein insertion.

Consists of:

Polyurethane catheter double lumen, J ended length marked guide wire, introducer needle (safety needle protector), syringe, vessel dilator, scalpel (safety scalpel), injection cap, arterial red clamp, venous blue clamp.

Intended Use

Intended for use as a temporary vascular access in extra-corporeal blood based purification therapies [Hemodialysis]. It is inserted percutaneously by well-trained physicians in the internal jugular, subclavian or femoral veins of an adult patient. Access is intended for insertion in the internal jugular vein. It can be kept inserted in the body for a period less than 30 days.

The catheter is indicated for use in attaining short-term vascular access for hemodialysis and apheresis
