Endotracheal tubes open a passage through the airway of the patient, the purpose is to allow air to freely pass through the upper airway and into the lungs or vice versa in order to promote ventilation. For artificial respiration, this product also can be connected to a ventilation machine.
Bevel (Patient end):
Improve the view of the vocal cords during laryngoscopy.
Offers a narrow point with which to part the vocal cords.
Murphy eye:
Insures that even if the primary opening is occluded some way, ventilation will still occur.
Intended Use
The endotracheal tube is ideally inserted through the trachea and placed between the vocal cords of the patient. The tube serves as an oxygen or an inhaled gas supplier directly to the lungs while preventing any type of unwanted lung contamination, such as gastric contents or blood.
Please note that this device shall only be used by a well-trained and qualified healthcare person or under supervision of a physician in hospital or clinical settings.
