HME Filters

The HME at a basic level is a transparent rounded housing of moistened blotting paper pellets with some scrunched up cardboard inside it. The casing is typically made of transparent plastic, and is airtight.

• Polypropylene (PP), HDPE. Pleated filter and/or cardboard membrane, impregnated with a hygroscopic material (Calcium Chloride) inside it.

Intended Use

HME (heat & moisture exchanger): support the maintenance of humidity and heat in the patient as a part of the care line.

Please note that this device shall only be used by a well-trained and qualified healthcare person or under supervision of a physician in hospital or clinical settings.
