Suction catheters are flexible long tubes manufactured from nontoxic medical grade PVC and are used to keep the airway clear of secretions. They are atraumatic, soft, and have a rounded open tip with one lateral eye.
Intended Use
Used to remove respiratory secretions from the airway. The purpose of suctioning is to keep the airway clear of secretions and to prevent plugging.
